Mug Holder of the Month
Our customers have always been our primary focus. They’re the ones who bring life to the place, create memories and end up giving the place its familiar, friendly vibe.
And there are so many different kinds of people who come through our doors daily, that we wanted to get to know their stories.
The Mug Holder of the Month is our little way of celebrating our customers, and their unique stories.
Tell us a little about what you both do.
Radhika: I am an independent HR Consultant
Rahul: I work in real estate
Are you both from Bangalore?
Radhika: No, we are both from Kolkata but have been in Bangalore for a few years now. I moved here to study and eventually found Home here, while Rahul moved for work.
Your career choices were because of something you studied? Or completely opposite? you tell us a little bit about what you do?
Radhika: I did not grow up dreaming of HR, but here I am! I do have a MBA degree in HR.
Rahul: Completely Opposite!
We ask this of every Mug Holder: why do you think you’ve been selected as the KMH?
Radhika and Rahul: Our love for Toit and Beer impressed Kudix!
Have you always enjoyed drinking beer?
Radhika and Rahul: Yes, yes and yes!
So, this love for beer has been cultivated over time?
Radhika: I remember enjoying beer for more than a decade now, since I moved to Bangalore
Rahul: Yes.
Is it different now? Can you not drink bottled beer anymore?
I’m a patron at Arbor Brewing Company located near TPR, and noticed the TPR coming up one day, and I’ve been visiting the place since 2017, when I came back to Bangalore.
Radhika: Drinking bottled beer had definitely declined drastically, until our recent IPA discovery.
Rahul: We are waiting for Toit’s bottling plant to start. Thankfully, we found some nice bottled IPA’s like the Eight finger eddie and White Rhino
Do you have a favourite beer at Toit?
Radhika and Rahul: We both love the Stout!
Do you try a lot of beers when you visit other cities/countries? Any specific ones that you really enjoyed?
Radhika: I was bowled over by the IPA’s in New York, and was surprised that I enjoyed Pilsner in Berlin.
Rahul: Yes! We always try drinking local brewed beers wherever we go. The IPA’s in New York were great.
What do you think of the craft beer scene in Bangalore?
Radhika: Exploding! And, am glad we are right in the middle of it.
Rahul: It’s one of the best craft beer scenes in the country and with all the crazy competition Beer is the definite winner.
Back to Toit, in all the time you’ve been coming here, any particular moment stands out for you both?
Radhika: There was a time when my office and home were equidistant from Toit, and I think I was seen here thrice a week! Those were crazy times.
Rahul: When I met Radhika for the first time at Toit.
Any particular reason that makes you come back to Toit?
The demographic vastness. India is extremely complex with the demographics changing from village to village at times.
Radhika: The people, the place and the beer, in no particular order.
Rahul: The beer of course. Also, my wife drives me crazy when we don’t!
