Toit Red Ale
Irish Red Ale
We couldn’t have had an Irish brewer without him insisting on a couple of Irish beers on tap! This one is a full bodied ale, in which the malt and hop characters are beautifully balanced.
The rich caramel sweetness is perfectly offset by the bitterness derived by combining a variety of noble hops from two different countries, making for a complex and delicious beer. We had to force our late great brewer to share this with the public!
It usually contains a low to moderately strong banana and clove flavour, and has a very thick, long-lasting white head.
Aroma of pine/ grapefruit/ raisins from the malts and the hops.
Medium to medium-full body. Moderate carbonation.
Reddish in colour, Clear to brilliant.
Moderate to high hop flavour/bitterness from the variety of hops.
