Christmas is almost here. And kick-starting the good cheer early on is our Christmas Menu!
It’s got all the goodness of a classic Christmas menu.
So whether you’re feeling the Christmas spirit or not, this menu is sure to put you in a merry mood.
To start things off, some delightful Smoked Salmon. That’s smoked salmon, with dil cheese fraiche and capers, served on toasted baguette.
Add some Ricotta Gnudi to that, and we’re set. Yup, that’s house ricotta served on a bed of creamy spinach and kale.
But if you want to keep the toasted baguette based crunch going, we also have the Baked Beetroot and Goat Cheese Bruschetta. These crunchy and flavourful slices are a perfect burst of flavour with some gorgeous texture going on. Getting into that Christmas mood?
Not yet?! Maybe the Chocolate Reindeer can help you with that. A combination of rum, peanut butter, vanilla ice cream and chocolate, this delicious drink is sure to give you that festive buzz. Or if you’re in the mood for something more classic, our cinnamon spiced Mulled Wine is sure to warm your heart.
(And if you really want to fast-track into merry-making land, look no further than the Plum Rum shooters.)
At this point we expect boozy carol bellowing, and it is also when we introduce you to the next highlight of the menu—Chicken Roast.
Thanksgiving has its Turkey, and Christmas is all about the Chicken Roast. Ours is stuffed with thyme flavoured rice and roasted cashews, and is baked to perfection!
But if that’s a little overwhelming for you, you might want to try the Beef Wellington.
These beef fillets are marinated to perfection, and coated with parma ham, wrapped in a puff pastry and baked with love. Add some red wine mushroom sauce to the list, and you’ve got yourself a timeless classic.
This is the season of giving after all, and we believe in being generous. That’s why this year, ending this holiday food haze on a perfect note, are not one, but two delightful desserts— Plum Pudding…
And the Croissant Pudding, which is our special Christmassy version of the classic Bread Pudding.
Yes. Santa has indeed arrived early this year.
And that’s just a few of the delightful dishes on the menu.
However, no Toit menu would be truly complete without a signature seasonal ale. The Santa Ale is back on tap, and that’s reason enough for you to come on down and celebrate the season with us!
We think Santa Claus would be happy.
