Shashi found a fellow-big eared companion in Killy, by accident.
Literally.
Killy first came into my life when I was driving back from Chennai to Bangalore, and this fellow had met with an accident on the other side of the road.
I kind of screeched to a halt when I heard him yelping. When I went to check, I saw that his paw was completely bent and hed actually fractured it. So I couldnt just leave him there.
Hes actually a foster failure. Ive done this before, rescued dogs and found them homes. I thought that this would be similar and I would find him a home. But turns out, because we both have big ears, I decided to keep him.
The name comes from me thinking about actually naming him Roadkill, but it sort of just evolved to Killy. (Thankfully!)
I visit Toit on a weekly basis, and this has been happening for the past year. And once Killy came into the picture, weve been coming here almost every other weekend since I was confident enough to take him out.
Hes an extremely peaceful fellow. And I take him to Cubbon Park every Sunday morning so that he can socialise and make friends.
More than anything else, I find him to be a companion. Ive been going through a tough time lately, both personally and professionally, and this fellow just came into my life at the right time.
