Loyalty is a virtue we cherish. We’re overwhelmed with the kind of loyalty Toit has inspired in people and we’ve decided that it’s time to do some rewarding.
Presenting the Kudix Mug Holder of the Month. It’s our small way of recognising and thanking our patrons, who return week after week, with friends and family in tow, and make Toit the boozy, buzzing brewpub it is.
Our Mug Holder for the Month of June is Guru.
He’s been a regular at Toit right from the early days, and as he likes to put it, has also been “sending it since 2010”. And we think he might just be a record holder of some kind at Toit. You’ll soon know why.
For Guru, it’s not just the beer or the place, it’s also the people at Toit that keep him coming back, every single week.
Get to know a little bit more this marketing man.
Q.1 What�s your favourite Toit Brew?
Guru: The Toit Hefeweizen. I started out loving the Basmati Blonde, before this one became a favourite. I like the Toit Tint-In-Wit too.
Q.2 What�s the most memorable memory at Toit?
Guru: Two instances- one would be my birthday in 2012, where about 10 of us were here from 4:00 pm- 11:00 pm and ended up with a bill for 106 pints. It was crazy. And I don’t remember too much of it.
The other instance would be when the song ‘Lose Yourself’ by Eminem began playing, and a bunch of friends and I got the entire outside section of Toit to start singing…rapping with us. There was so much noise, I thought I would get thrown out that day.
Q.3 Have you always been a beer lover?
Guru: Yes. I’ve always been a beer lover. But I also love Rum.
Q.4 What�s the most amount of beer you�ve had in one sitting?
Guru: 14.
Q.5 What would be the ingredients of your fantasy beer?
Guru: Captain Morgan and Coke. Told you I loved Rum as well!
Q.6 Do you know what goes into the Hefeweizen?
Guru: Not a clue. I just love the way it tastes.
Q.7 Do you have a favourite dish here?
Guru: The Chicken Piccata and the pizzas.
Q.8 How does it feel, being a Kudix Mug Holder?
Guru: I actually feel that I deserve the title. I spend almost every Saturday night here! But jokes aside, it feels beautiful. Everyone I know, knows how much I love the place. The beer is would be my number one reason for liking Toit so much, but it’s also the people and the ambience. Everyone is so friendly.
